Resource Request Methods
Form Only
This method is used when you need to collect information from requesters without offering items. It allows you to create a form with questions but does not provide any items for the user to select.
Individual Single
This request method limits a requester to one item type per request. However, you can adjust the Individual Item Request Limit to allow multiple quantities of the same item type.
Example: A requester can request two radios but cannot request two radios and two batteries within the same request.
Individual Package
This method allows the requester to build a package containing different item types. You can still set the Individual Item Request Limit to control how many of each item type can be requested.
Example: A requester can request two radios, two batteries, and two hand mics. However, if limits are set, they may only be allowed one radio, one battery, and one hand mic per request.
Personnel Manager
This method enables the requester to create a personnel list and group individuals into credential packages. Once submitted for approval, the approver can assign the appropriate credentials to the package.
*Common Use Case: Artist Credentials
Group
This method is used to allocate a set number of credentials or items to a portal. It can function in two ways:
- True Allotment – The resource approver submits a request on behalf of the portal, allocating a specific number of items that can later be claimed.
- Requester Submission – The requester submits a request for a specific number of items, which the approver reviews. Once approved, the requester can claim the items.
*How Items Are Claimed:
- Items or credentials can be claimed within the portal or via a public link.
- This allows claimants to access their items without logging into AMP.
*Example Use Cases:
- An artist advance may be allotted a set number of comp passes, requiring only guest names for claims.
- A vendor may be allotted radios and batteries, which they can then claim.
This method functions similarly to Artist Guest Lists and Credential Banks in the previous advancing system but has been expanded in AMP to include assets as well.
